Every Bottle Counts
Most plastic never gets collected. Not because people do not care, but because in many parts of the world, the infrastructure simply does not exist. In small fishing villages across Southeast Asia and the Pacific, the ocean is everything. Food. Work. Home. And without a system for waste, plastic finds its way to the shoreline and from there into open water.
Our founder saw this firsthand. Years of travelling through Fiji, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia. Snorkelling through marine parks so beautiful they took her breath away, and then the heartbreak of seeing plastic drifting through them. Wildlife tangled and sick. Beautiful ecosystems quietly being damaged, in communities that wanted better but had no way to create it alone.
That is not a people problem. It is a systems problem.
So we became part of the solution. Every month, we fund the removal of a minimum of 100 plastic bottles from coastal communities, collected within 50km of shorelines before they reach the open sea. The people who collect them get paid for every bottle. The plastic gets turned back into usable material. And a system gets built that creates real income in places with few job opportunities.
This partnership with GoodAPI and Plastic Bank is how we act on it and how our customers can too.
100 bottles removed every month. And we are just getting started.
