Our Story
Our Craft & Where Our Pieces Come From
Every piece in our collection is handmade and hand-finished with intention. The brand began with our founder crafting each design herself, and to this day, some styles are still made in Australia.
To bring our full collection to life, we also partner with select overseas studios. These are small family owned, skilled teams that work in clean, safe environments and offer equal opportunities to all genders. We choose partners who respect their craft—and their people.
Our materials are sourced with the same care:
-
Gemstones: ethically sourced from various regions around the world.
-
Freshwater Pearls: from small, family-owned farms in PRC.
-
Metals: silver and gold sourced across Asia, Australia, and America, using recycled options whenever available.
We believe artisans and farmers should set their own prices. This ensures fair pay, sustainable craftsmanship, and pieces that hold meaning—made with respect for every hand involved.
How the Brand Started
How The Traveller Series Began
In 2019 The Traveller Series began in a small pocket of time between wedding shoots, where the founder would sit at her desk and make jewellery just for the joy of it. As a wedding and family photographer, she spent years capturing the beauty in people—the moments that made them feel seen, confident, and unforgettable. Creating jewellery became another extension of that love: a way to make something meaningful that someone could carry with them long after the day was over.
When the 2020 pandemic arrived and every wedding on her calendar was cancelled, she chose not to step away from the brides she couldn’t photograph. Instead, she found a new way to be part of their story. She began crafting custom pearl pieces, each one made to help a bride feel happy, beautiful, assured and completed on her day. That intention became the heartbeat of the brand.
The turning point came with her very first custom design—the Pim Petite earrings. The moment they were finished, she realised jewellery wasn’t just a hobby anymore; it could be her path. From there, the brand grew naturally: from pearls to birthstones, from custom pieces to timeless capsule collections.
One memory still grounds her today—packing an order. It’s the final touchpoint between design and someone’s meaningful moment, and it carries the same care she had from the very beginning.
As the Traveller Series evolved, she welcomed studios and skilled helpers, each trained to honour the meticulous attention she built the brand on. The quiet values from her photography days guide every decision: make people look good, make them feel good, and create something they’ll remember.
What began as a pivot in an uncertain time has become a brand defined by intention, beauty, and pieces that accompany life’s most meaningful chapters.
